As the season changes and the weather improves, we all think about new beginnings, fresh starts, and a thorough spring clean.
We’ve taken the new season to remind ourselves of our environmental impact and how we can help you to reduce yours.
In 2020 the NHS adopted a plan to become the world’s first carbon net zero national health system, further committing to this pledge by embedding net zero into legislation, through the Health and Care Act 2022.
This means NHS England, and all Trusts, Foundation Trusts, and Integrated Care Boards have a duty to contribute towards the reduction of statutory emissions and environmental targets.

Using DiffX™ you can reduce infections, clean efficiently, and introduce greater sustainability into your hospital or healthcare setting.
Here are some ways DiffX™ helps:
Reuse your cleaning equipment over and over again
Our DiffX™ solution is used with handcloths, mops, buckets, squeezy bottles and other reusable items. This is a huge improvement in sustainability compared to the routine use of and disposal of cleaning and disinfecting wipes.
The revised HTM07-01 guidance champions this as a way of cleaning and disinfecting to reduce waste and reduce environmental impact.
Effective cleaning and disinfection in one solution
DiffX™ formula is a powerful cleaner as well as a disinfectant. Its disinfecting properties are not affected by soiled surfaces meaning you can clean and disinfect at the same time, reducing water consumption and cleaning time!
Our soluble sachets are biodegradable
The active ingredient in DiffX™ is peracetic acid. This is created in situ when the sachets are dissolved in warm water and are biodegradable.
pH neutral and non-corrosive
The pH neutral, non-corrosive formula is kinder on surfaces and equipment, extending their life and reducing waste.
DiffX™ uses innovative technology to help healthcare staff clean and disinfect sustainably. By reducing harmful chemicals, water and waste generation, healthcare facilities become more sustainable and safer for their patients, staff, and the community.
